The guys at The Lo and Behold Group have done it again!
With Loof, Overeasy, The White Rabbit and Tanjong Beach Club under their belt, the guys have brought in Chef Matthew White to launch the new pizza chain Extra Virgin Pizza.
I was there with a couple of friends, and here are our findings:
1) The food rocks
2) Neapolitan Style pizza rocks
3) Kirin draft rocks
4) The baristas here rock
We had the Pistachio and Mini Rocket Pizza, which was so good we order another later on, the Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza, Meatballs, Cold Cuts and Cheese Board, Clams, Garlic Bread, and ended off with Tiramisu with copious amounts of Cocoa powded on top.
Apparently, what sets EVP aside is that they use a kind of flour specially brought in, so special that no other pizzeria uses the same flour they do. Through extensive R&D with Chef White, the water, tomatoes, cheese and even the ovens are totally unique to what they do.
On top of that, they have baristas trained by the good people at Papa Palheta! For those who fancy a cold one after a day in the office, EVP at Asia Square serves a nice draft. Not just any draft beer, but Kirin draft! 1-for-1 during happy hour too!
EVP is located at Asia Square now, pending the opening of their other outlets.
