What better way to mark the end of another crazy week than to drop by Next Door Cafe & Taverna at Siglap for a couple of brews?
That’s exactly what went down at our favourite spot known amongst the clique as affectionately, “next door”. Couple of dudes, couple of brews, some snacks, ensured laughter all round.
To list it out, we had the Hobgoblin, King Goblin, Marston’s Pedigree, Hacker-Pschorr Weisse, and more than afew Warsteiners. Having been first introduced to Warsteiner when I was working in Abu Dhabi (yes, german beer in staunchly muslim Abu Dhabi), this was a real treat without having to pay the exorbitant prices Marche charges for Warsteiner.
To keep the thirst for more beer up, we ordered one of their signature pizzas and a basket of the thickest, herbiest, saltiest thick-cut fries. Or maybe my taste buds were messed up by the sheer number of cold ones we were having. =P
Tucked in a cosy corner right next to Siglap Centre, Next Door Cafe & Taverna is a small place perfect for chilling, with warm staff, a boss with a hearty laugh, and overflowing with the feel-good effect.
