The wife asked me over dinner what my first choice would be between these popular soupy dishes.
For me, it would be laksa hands down. With hum (cockles blanched briefly in hot water) of course!
There would be an endless debate if I tried to weigh into which laksa is the best, or the original, so I’m not going to go there.
What I will say however, is that we found love (and parking) this chilly Friday night at 328 Katong Laksa!
What I like is the balanced broth that doesn’t have too much lemak (coconut) taste, the texture of the hum is firm but not overcooked and last but not least, no need for chopsticks!
